Terms of use

zaclip is free and run by one person. These terms are short because there is not much to say: use it, it might break, your videos are your own.

What this is

A set of tools for people posting video to TikTok: an encoder that rebuilds a file’s container in your browser, a checker that reports what TikTok is serving for a posted video, a downloader, and an optional way to send a video to your own TikTok account.

It costs nothing and there is no account unless you choose to connect one for posting.

Not affiliated with TikTok

zaclip is independent. It is not made by, endorsed by, or connected to TikTok or ByteDance. TikTok is their trademark. Where the site uses TikTok’s public interfaces it does so as any developer may, and their terms govern your own TikTok account.

Your content stays yours

We claim no rights over anything you process, check or post. The encoder never receives your video at all; a video sent for posting is forwarded to TikTok and not kept.

In return, you are responsible for what you put through it. Only upload video you have the right to publish, and do not use these tools to post content that breaks TikTok’s rules or anyone else’s copyright.

Provided as is

Much of what this site does depends on how TikTok behaves, and TikTok can change that without warning. Features that work today may stop working, and results that were accurate last month may not be. The site is offered without warranty of any kind, and we are not liable for loss arising from using it — including a video that fails to post or an upload that does not keep its quality.

Where the site claims something was measured, the measurement and its date are stated so you can judge it for yourself. Nothing here is a guarantee about what TikTok will do with your upload.

Fair use of the service

Please do not automate bulk requests against the checker, downloader or posting endpoints, or use them as infrastructure for another service. They run on a small budget, and heavy automated use spoils them for everyone. Access may be limited or blocked if that happens.

Posting to TikTok

If you connect your TikTok account, you are authorising this site to send a video to it on your behalf, and nothing more. You can withdraw that at any time, either here or from TikTok’s own settings. What happens to the video after it reaches TikTok — whether it is published, restricted, or re-encoded — is between you and them.

These terms may change as the site does. Material changes will be dated here.
